SEUS Why won't it work? |

Hey guys and girls..
Today my SE W995 stopped working. Everytime i turn it on it doesnt connect to my network provider. Also when i try charge the phone it says i have to use a SE Battery. When infact it is an SE battery.
After browsing and reading forums about this problem above it became clear it was a software issue..
I decided to download the Sony Ericsson Update Service to rectify the problem and fix my phone.
So i've installed the latest version of SEUS and opend it up.
The first page:
It asks me to backup my phones files and to accept a terms and conditions to continue.(done)
Second page:
Asks me to select my model of phone.. w995 (done)
Third page asks me to:
1. make sure my battery is fully charged
2. Connect my usb cable to the usb port on my laptop
3. Turn my phone off
4. remove and reinsert my battery
5. press and hold the c button on my phone while plugging in my usb cable
6. Continue holding.
Now ive done all these steps done everything the SEUS has asked me to do yet it isnt detecting my phone. Ive plugged my data cable into my phone whilst pressing the C button and nothing happens.
After a minute or two my phone then turns on and goes into 'mass storage device mode'
I really dont understand why this isnt working. I thought itd be a really quick easy simple job but its not. Ive been repeating this process for hour 4 hours and its the same outcome.
Please could someone please help me. Im at my whits end and im absolutely clueless. Ive never updated my phone before. Infact ive never updated any phone. Id appreciate any help given.

if that was the case, than try the following:
1. use any registry cleaner ie CCleaner
2. restart ur pc
3. start the SEUS procedures but make sure press and hold the C or 2+5 buttons for more than 5 seconds
OR
flash ur phone using A2 File Generator and A2 Uploader, than proceed with SEUS

Uninstall all SE software and install SEUS again. |

Same problem with my k800i it wont connect to SEUS.
I think its impossible to connect to seus
Try to flash your phone

Thanks for the response. I've not been on here because shortly after id made my first post my laptop broke. Yes my phone and a laptop in the same day. OUCH.
I sent my phone back to o2 to get fixed. I got it back a week later, Ive had the phone back around a month now and Today my phone has done the exact same thing. I've tried using the SEUS again but it still doesnt detect my phone.
For those who suggest Flashing my phone? I read the tutorial but still dont understand what im suppose to do.
I just want to be able to plug my phone into my computer and update. Why is this so hard to do?
Please please please help me out here guys. Its really bothering me.

I looked in my device manager when my usb cable was plugged in right clicked on the drive and clicked update but it said.
''the best driver software for your device is already installed''
''windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date''
''SEMC Flash Device''
so i take it i have the correct and up to date driver installed?
Still nothing happens when i plug my phone in and hold down c after doing the appropriate steps. |

To me it happened with P990i, but it turned out that because I chose the Bulgarian language version of Update service.
After I chose English language version - P990 is connected without a problem.
