Which is best Norton Security or AVG? At the moment i am using AVG which has been very good but someone said to me Norton is best and someone else said to me AVG. So which is really the better one overall? And is Mobile Wireless Broadband connections less or more at risk from viruses than fixed line? Thanks.

Risk are same. Bit-defender and Kaspersky also good. Avg isn't good enough. |

both are crap.
avira anti-vir is the best free a/v (with malwarebytes antimalware/comodo firewall for antimalware/firewalls)
and kaspersky internet security is the best paid suite (which you may be able to get free if you bank with barclays)

Yep, I also say Karsperky. Used McAffee for years until last year when I switched to Karspersky and have no regrets whatsoever.

Don't forget that AVG is probably the best value for money as it's free
Or you could invest in a MAC!!! |

Why do Macs have better security & makes it harder to hack them?

Macafee is secure but annoying and obtrusive.
Windows 7 + Google Chrome is supposedly a winning combination...
BTW, did you know the M$ are binging out their own free anti virus software? It seems Microsoft wants to deal to virus' once and for all.

"So what makes Chrome so secure? Previous Pwn2Own champion Charlie Miller says that although he did find a security hole in Google's browser, he was unable to exploit it because of Chrome's browser's sandboxing feature (which is a security mechanism that keeps running code isolated using a tightly-controlled set of virtual resources) and Windows 7 security measures which combined to prevented him from exploiting any Chrome weaknesses." source
This guy Charlie Miller is the guy who found the iPhone SMS vulnerability so he knows his stuff...

Mac and Windows OS are not compatible so viruses for Windows won't work on a Mac. Therefore the hackers have to write two versions of code and why would you when one version will get you into 80+% of computers and the other will get you into 10%.

@all
what can you say about the security of Symantec Antivirus?
i'am using this for many years and it's really worth for your money.
Don't be so quick to judge me, you only see what I choose to show you. |
