For the past month users of the p800 have been inquiring about wheter a video recording application (such as that featured on nokia 7650, and 3650) would be possible to download onto a symbian os 7.0 platform on p800, however this has been mostly disagreed with in the sence that ericsson has not released the communicam code or authoried the camera to be tampered with by developers so as to avoid errors or inappropriate use of the camera. therefore it would seem very unlikely to overcome that...(ligitimatly at least) however i am creating a program which is in its final stage which almost acts as a screen recorder as opposed to a viewer of the communicam in specific which records everything that appears on the screen.....so far i have had four problems only which are preventing me from completing it..
1) application menu and background is recorded too
2) colour quality is degraded a bit
3) application is too big width/height to preview on p800 video player therefore only way of previewing the file is on your computer..
4)no sending to e-mails/other devices incorporated
Pls, suggest solutions in order to help me tackle these problems....much appreciated

he came here because he wants 4 solutions so he could finish the application!
3) i think that you should tell someone to make another video player... the devoloper of the full screen pictures... so he could make a full screen video player
and dont forget about the sound recorder..............

I can make you flash codec (sequence of jpg without headers+ swf headers) and player much faster and simplier then mpg4 and it suits the puyrpose
... regarding size why dont you record just preview video memory? |
