*#06# is for checking the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity). But what dose *#05# do? When I test it it first say "Code do not match" then it want me to enter a PUK: |

I do not know what a PUK code is.
But it is stupid if SonyEricsson has put a so bad thing so easy to use. |

these codes arent universal right? it depends on what country you are in, or just the phone codes?
for nokia i know some:
*#92702689# gives a secret menu (#*war0anty#)
*#74602565# shows if your sim clock can be stopped (#*sim0clock)
*#0000# shows your software version.
*#100# shows your own number.

*#06# is a "national" code- it works on all phone makes, as far as I know.
Sendo- Yes
Nokia- Yes
SonyEricsson- Yes

*#06# is a standard code which works on all phones but other codes such as canceling diverts are network specific e.g *#100# is own number on voda
