You could just backup sms and then restore that backup to another phone compatible with MPE

First you must copy to Archive messages, then connect next phone and open Archive (on MyPhoneExplorer) select all messages and copy to phone (as read or unread, or in Inbox).

Using the w890 you could move all the messages to the memory stick. Put the memory stick in the c510 and then move the messages to the c510's memory.

There is another way to do it (by copying profiles' files) but it could require a little computer experience.

i already got rid of the w890i, but the messages are still backed up to mpe archive.

where is the actual file location of the mpe messages archive?

I don't believe you can transfer from one phone to
another, even using the memory card option (the handset
warns you about something when you set this !!), as the
internal database file is kept on the phone NOT the card
which means there is no way to reference which message is
which.

FYI ... the actual location is

C:\\Documents and Settings\\"user id"\\Application Data\\MyPhoneExplorer\\"your phone"
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

i havent used the card for messages. all the messages are backed up to mpe archive and can be exported to the computer.

if i export to computer can i use another program to import those messages to my phone? cause mpe is just giving me hassle for something that should be simple.

been playing with mpe for a while and it would appear that the exported to pc
messages can be imported BUT only into the archive so .....

Export all your messages from one phone, connect the new phone and import
them back into the archive for the new phone. From there you can copy to
the phone ...... hopefully that makes sense !!

Hi all - Ever since I got my C902 (~2 years ago), I think I used MPE only once. I now have ~23,000 SMS in my Inbox. I wanted to back them up on my pc but MPE does not even load them!! Is it because I have too many? If so, what's another solution or me to be able to back up the SMS??

Thanks is advance!!
