As far as I know, LC screens are radiation free. Dunno about the electro smog, though...
But you can still ruin yer eyes with a GameBoy! You betcha!

There is no radiation from these screens. There is on the other hand, as in all electrical appliences and electric cables, an electric/magnetic field around the screen but this is so low that it's not even worth mentioning.
A LCD comuter monitor is known to be more relxing and less harmfull to your eyer than an ordernary monitor and they are 220 volt, whilst a mobile phone screen is run on 3 volt.
So, unless you tuck your phone up againgt your eye and leave it there for a longer period of time, you have no need to worry at all. Watching TV or reading this on your PC is way worse!

@mariolouis
I don't think it is a stupid question at all. I've been studying different kinds of radiations from mobile phones and there is a reason for the manufacturers to be obliged to inform about the SAR values.

tranquil is right,

don't worry bout it tho,
tests show that t68/i have really low "radiation",
about 0.3W/kg vs. 1.0+W/kg from most motorollas.

@JwY, thanks. I was looking for those figures. I would be more concerned about the SAR than the screen, but with the restrictions the gouverment, and the manufacturers, has put on it all there is no need to worry.

Its funny though. From my opinion if there is radiation from those screens, then sunlight would do the same. Or lamps. Or other electrical devices.
