Bit of a weird one I was asked last night.

If you were offered a phone that was a contract phone from O2 that someone had started a contract and then done a bunk (left the country) leaving the contract unpaid would O2 lock the phone ?? a fellow cab driver was offered the phone cheap by the ex of the guy that has left the country.

I could not answer it, I would have thought they would block it, the phone that is, obviously the card would be useless.

It's not blocked yet and the bloke left about 3 months ago and apparently O2 are aware he has gone as the ex has informed all the people that he owed monies to.

Only reason I ask is it was cheap, and wish it was me who was offered this possible mega bargain.

I could see them blocking the phone after the unpaid period increases. The card will be blocked first but then the phone would be as well because they own the phone untill the contract has been finished i think?

Be glad you didnt get offered the phone because you could of lost out

I was hoping to get it cheap off of the other driver, but the obvious thought that one day it could be blocked stopped me from pushing him to get it.
