Hi, does anybody know whether it is possible to turn off the clock on the T68i??? If you cant then I cant see the point of having a screensaver cos its hardly been on before the clock appears.

Hi, welcome to esato !!
sorry but no it is not possible to turn off the clock, this feature protects your lcd screen from burning and it also saves energy.
(next time plz use [SEARCH] function cuz this is asked plenty time before |

Correct if I am wrong, but I dont think a LCD screen can 'burn' only CRT screens can 'burn' if you think about the make up of and LCD screen you will realise that the electrically charged crystal particles are turned on and off by electric impulses.
Whereas with a CRT monitor (such as a PC monitor) a laser heats the phophorus on the inside of the screen up to create the colours.
This would mean that the 'screensaver' is not that, but purely just a 'batterysaver'. |

there is a thread on this every week; the bottom line (as posted above) is that you CANNOT turn this feature off. everything else is academic.
it's a battery saving feature, and it saves a lot of energy in standby. it'll annoy you for as long as you're still playing with your new toy, but once you start using the t68 as a serious phone you'll be glad it's there. |

I love the clock! I find it much easier to take my phone out of my pocket to check the clock that pulling up my jumper to view my wrist watch, especially if I have only 1 hand free.
