I have lots of MMS messages in my phone. I have to upgrade the firmware. When I move the messages to the memory card, telephone says I won't be able to access them after upgrade.
What's the solution if I want my MMS messages back after firmware upgrade. (MPE etc. can't access to the MMS messages.)
Please, please I need a certain answer. I don't want to lose them.
Thanks. |

Hi and welcome
You could use the MyPhoneExplorer software. It's a great piece of software and it allows you to back up your messages. Try it out before upgrading.

Sorry but i think it is impossible to access the MMS messages via MyPhoneExplorer (as i mentioned in my main post).
Am I wrong?
(Please notice that I'm talking about MMSs, not text messages.) |

MMS messages are stored in TPA\\SYSTEM\\MESSAGING. Well I don't if putting them back there after upgrading firmware, they will show on phone. |

I can't see any directory path named TPA\\\\SYSTEM\\\\MESSAGING in the memory of the phone. How will I open this directory. Will I need any special program? Can you please tell me how? |

They are hidden inside your phone so you need a program that can access it and it is called A2Uploader.
Here is the thread for A2Uploader and the latest version is on page 59.

Make sure you disable your antivirus software on your computer or you might get a false alert. |

sorry to revive this thread, but I found a way to backup and restore SMS AND MMS on my W705.
originally from here
I just restored the entire “tpa/system/messaging” folder and that worked for me
You need FAR manager and the SE plugin for it google for sefp2w.145.rar
Hope this helps! |
