To all,
I'm planning to buy a cellphone that's worth on what i pay for.
I need your opinions and suggestions about this two kinds of phone.
Which is preferrable to use.
I want a cellphone that accept applications like Opera Mini, Gmaps and etc.
Need advise and tips.
Thanks

W705 v E52
W705 news
E52 news
Those 2 phones are quite different and appeal to different users.
The W705 is a full featured multimedia focussed phone.
The E52 is a business phone with a Symbian OS.
Feature phone owners usually find Smartphones overpriced and lacking features; Smartphone owners generally think feature phones are children's toys. You'll know which one you like when you try them out.
I'd be asking myself: Am I going to be reading email and opening documents or am I going to be txting, taking photos and listening to music. As far as Apps go, the W705 will run Java Apps but the E52 will run 'real' Apps on its S60 OS. If you're really after the best Apps + multimedia, then you want an iPhone but that's a whole different conversation. For me, the UI and styling is a big advantage in the W705's favour.

thanks for sharing your info about the comparison of two phones.
As what you've asked to yourself, i prefer to go with taking pics, listening music together. Is w705 accept apps with file type .jar and .sis?

i think *.sis just for symbian only, and W705 not a symbian phone. |

Get the E52. Its even more of a Music Phone since it has a built-in 3.5mm jack and the AIC33 audio chip. E52 will also take Java Apps plus Symbian Apps, so you have a variety, it has a HUGE 1500mAh battery for great batt life, 600MHz low power consumption CPU for a very speedy performance, it may also support Ngage for Gaming. It has an excellent Web browser that supports full YouTube and not forgeting the 128mb RAM for multitasking as much as you want without a slow down.

So far I have used only (Sony)Ericsson phones. But now I can't see any phones I like very much from SE. At the moment I use K610i, but if anything happens I would choose Nokia E52, E55 or E72 (because of the features). |

I'd choose the E52 any day of the week simply because it has S60. Along with a host of features that puts most SE's to shame.

And all those SE's are not business focussed and are cheaper than the E52 according to www.plemix.com
You can get a C903 for less than an E52 and a C905 is only a little dearer, which is where the smartphones are expensive and lack features argument comes in.
I get the impression than the OP is a feature phone fan looking to 'take it to the next level' but not willing to go all the way to a full qwerty smartphone, a position I was in last year when using my V640i to it's max. I ended up with an iPhone 3G...

My foe have nokia 6270 and its about 1.9 years old. It is a high end high cost mobile from nokia. My foe and my many friends trusted and bought several nokia costly sets. But after the warranty is over it started giving problem....And when he took it to nokia care, they said it can not be repaired they even did not see what was the problem. Then he took it to another nokia care, and this time they just touched it and told it can't be repaired..... Friends do not buy nokia high end mobile phones because the sells service of nokia is the worst ever.My foe and my friends are suffering so i thought that i should post his bitter experience to all.....Once your warranty is over your costly set will start giving problem and if it is then its gone because nokia's high end mobile life time is just the warranty period they provide. Most customers are facing this problem.....Friends be alert and please do not buy nokia......
What i like about sony ericsson is that it doesn't want to prove anything... it's more like a lifestyle |
