Hi

Just got a P1i used from Ebay and think it's fantastic! I used to use a P990i a few years ago but couldn't cope with the lack of memory, this is great now.

Anyway I am trying to get Opera mini working over GPRS. Here is my "Internet" connection priority:

DefaultWiFiAccount
Home WiFi
O2 GPRS Data

So if I have WiFi off, or out of range of an accessible network, all other apps will think about it for a few seconds and then open the GPRS connection and go on their way - Opera mobile 9.5 does this, ProfiMail does this, RSS does this etc. etc.

But Opera mini just comes up with a dialog saying no Internet connection can be found.

To get it to work I have to open Opera mini, switch out and say check my e-mail using ProfiMail to open the connection and then switch back, which is slightly annoying.

It connects fine to a WiFi network, if there's one in range, though.

I'm sure I read somewhere if you split your accounts into groups - e.g. WiFi and GPRS groups and select the box to ask which to use when connecting to the network, it'll work - and it does - but that pop-up box comes up so many times it's annoying. I wouldn't mind it if it was once per use of an application, but starting up Fring, for instance - it pops up 2 or 3 times.

If I can't get Opera mini working I'll live without it - but would like it working properly because I'm on a capped data plan and it's just so much faster especially if I can't get a 3G connection.

In Midlet account settings I have the default connection as "System preferred".

Has anyone else had this problem?

Cheers
