As you already may know ATT disabled the WIFI in the new C905a's. I cant believe they did this. Has anyone debranded yet and seen if WIFI works?

Unbelievable, how arrogant! But, debranding and unlocking should work.

News to me as the C905a is still too new.
No one yet seems to have any reviews to comment.

Wouldn't it be better just to buy the C905 will all features available [including Wifi] (since most people outside N/S America would only have available the C905)?

The C905 does not support UMTS over 850/1900 MHz, so no North American 3G.

The question as to whether the unbranded C905a firmware re-enables WiFi is important to me too, since this will decide whether I'll get one. (I just got a Nokia N97 - but this plus the N86 leave me a a bit disappointed as far as Nokia's recent performance goes - especially w.r.t. the camera).

So, "totalgsm" - can you say for certain that debranding the C905a brings back WiFi? Better yet, do you have any references or personal experience?

Check Totalgsm site. They do it for you, like Davinci. Or check; Unlock A2 for free , and; A2 flasher Tutorial . Cant you get it without branding somewhere, saves a lot of 'to-do'

Not for $124..
(Amazon's price with a 2-year renewal with AT&T).
OTOH, there is no way to "de-brand" the physical aspects, such as the fugly AT&T logo and color (silver).

I'm not afraid of 'to-do'.. in particular I did go through the SE firmware procedure once or twice before, e.g. to get Norwegian-capable firmware on a US-bought k850i.

Thanks for your pointers.

Can't someone make a UTUBE video bemoaning AT&T. This type of Neg advert may force AT&T to stop acting a Ma Bell
