Hi people. Wondered if anyone can help.

I have an Audi A4 with the manufacturers Bluetooth kit so my phone connects to the car. I have no problems with connecting or with synching the contacts but when i get an incoming call, the ringtone that comes out of the speakers is annoying. The best way to describe it would be a standard 'ring-ring' tone but extremely muffled. At first, i thought it may be the audi kit that's causing the problem but i have tried:

An SE C902 - Does not ring properly
An SE W850i - Does not ring properly
A Nokia 5800 - Works perfectly
An SE T610 - Works perfectly
A Nokia 6500 Slide - Works perfectly
A Samsung Tocco - Works perfectly
An SE K800i - Does not ring properly

So from the above, i would say it's a Sony Ericsson issue and not an Audi issue with the exception being the T610 and it may have something to do with the fact that it's ancient now.

I don't know about the other handsets but my C902 has the latest firmware.
I've tried to play about with the settings including changing bluetooth to visible mode instead of invisible, changing the power save mode, I've messed about with the profiles but nothing seems to make a difference.

Any ideas people?

Sounds about right for the VAG factory units. They will probably tell you that it's the phone manufacturer thats the problem. Mercades units also have a few compatibility problems as well. Especially with newer Sony Ericsson phones.
