I've been experiencing a couple of very annoying problems with my t68i
1. Network "disconnects". A few times a day, and usually every morning,
my phone seems to be disconnected from the network. There's no
indication of this on the phone itself - the signal strength indicator
seems fine and all. However, if anyone tries to call me, they go
straight to voicemail. I don't receive SMS messages. When I try to make
an outgoing call, the display stops at "Calling +316......" for a while,
then simply goes back to the standard stand-by screen without an error
message. I have to redial the number, usually three times, before the
call goes through. After I make that initial call, then everything's
fine - I can receive calls and SMS messages.
2. Hung-up WAP sessions. Relatively often, the WAP browser on the phone
seems to get stuck trying to load a page. At this point, I'll exit WAP
and go back to the phone's main screen, where I get the usual "Do you
want to continue your WAP session?" message. I answer "no" to that, but
I never get the statistics screen with bytes sent/received you usually
get after closing a data session. If I then try use the WAP browser
again, it just gets stuck trying to load any page. It seems the data
session is stuck open, and there's no way to close it other than simply
turning the phone off and on again.
I would think that the it was a hardware problem, except that three
other friends of mine got the exact same phone and carrier plan at the
same time I did, and they're all seeing the same problems. Three of the
phones are using the R3 ROM version, and one has R6. We're all on T-
Mobile in Arizona using hardware revision R6D of the T68i.
So... anyone else?
