I am thinking of buying the new samsung pixon 12 m8910 on ebay as no doubt they will be on there within the next 2-3 weeks.

If people are selling them even though they have only just got that phone on contract should they be selling the phone?

Also if i buy the phone and that person didn't pay their bill the phone would get barred or blocked but would i be able to do anything about it? As i would have purchased the phone from the seller so surely it should get unblocked?

Thanks.

Make sure the seller has a very good rating and check his/her feedback for past transactions. One of the biggest cons on ebay is selling new contract handsets then reporting them as stolen, the seller gets a new phone and the one you purchased becomes blocked and useless, the account is then closed and you have little or no come back!

Remember if something sounds to good to be true it usually is

phones wont usually be blocked for non bill payment, unless completely fraudulent in the first place. This is, as the other guys have mentioned, usually only for when they are reported as stolen/lost etc. The IMEI can be traced though via the holding company and then reported for insurance fraud.

The answer is simple.
If you want a contract, go to the High Street and get one!

in reference to your above comment, this is probably the most common way of phone selling. Most people only have an upgrade to sell so theres actually no harm in it or any stipulations about doing it.
