Hello!
Just wondering if the Main Menu screen buttons are different depending on the w995's market region:
I've seen a Vodafone (European) version that has the front faceplate buttons for:
Media Menu Search
The Asian version I have has:
Facebook Menu Media
Otherwise, everything else is the same.
Checked with SE's Asia tech support and the Menu is Correct!
Lastly, the buttons can not be replaced as I've tried to Remove the Facebook button with another app!
Can only replace shortcuts for the Navigation keys under:
Menu - Settings - General - Shortcuts
Software version
1215-8003
R1EA033 (Asia region)
090512
Thanks!

This is what operators do with their phones: branding.
You can get it debranded though.

Phone was bought directly from one of the major phone stores in HK and it's unlocked and Not associated with any HK carriers.
What branding are you referring to? Sales flyer that I saved with my purchase stated that it's a feature included with the (HK) phones.
Phone is Genuine and verified with SE Asia tech support so it's not fake!
Thank you!

Branding doesn't mean your phone to be locked or fake. It means your operator to replace the icons in the menu, to change the softkeys and/or so on...
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |
