Hi,
I'm using a k800i, I wonder if one of the camdriver modders (or other photographers) might be able to answer my question:
The pictures when seen fullsize often show a sort of 'oil painting' effect, which I assume is down to postprocessing. Is there a combination of modes which minimizes this effect, for example 3mp fine or normal, 2mp fine or normal etc, or does this effect appear with all modes? Would a different driver help? I use Withan v3 at the moment.
All the best,
Martin. |

There's that effect on all phones (SE) and it is caused by the image sharpening feature. It can be disabled in the driver but I never dared try it.

Thanks for that StevenC.. Am I right in thinking then that reducing the sharpness will improve the image quality? I particularly see this effect where land meets sky for example.
Martin.
