Will flashing fix the "No setting available. bug? |

So I've searched this on and off for a while but can't find an answer. I own a K850i and the settings download will not work. It works on my cousin's K850 on the same network sitting right next to my phone. However mine gives me "Settings not available. Please contact your operator". If I put my sim in my old K810i, it will download settings. So how can I fix this? Will a full fs/main flash fix this? I only ask b/c I don't want to go thru the hassel of a flash to find out it does nothing to fix this. Or is there another known way? Thanks for any help. |

Oh yea sorry my bad. I had to write the OP at work so I was in a rush. Yes I mean Browser/MMS settings. I have the settings on the phone already from doing them manually but I want to fix this problem if I ever want to reflash or mess around w/ acoustics and what not. |

When did you get your SIM and when did he get his? It might be that required network information about your network wasn't being added in older SIM, which the 'Download settings' requires to identify Network.

My SIM is much older than his. I am thinking of getting a new one because I mine is about 6 years old lol and once or twice now I have had to remove it and reinsert because it wasn't making contact. But that SIM works in the k810 for settings download. And I think I've tried other SIMs in there and no luck. Making me think it is a Firmware issue. |

Try your friends sim. Check settings and excess. Or reflash with SEUS. Maybe difference between contract and pay'n'go ? Looks like you've got some work to do. good luck, you can do it

Yeah we'll see. The only difference between our phones is the region I imagine. I think mine is se Asia and his is APAC? Dunno for sure tho. I'll reflash soon I guess. One question tho can you change your region by reflashing? I forget, havent flashed much since I had my k810/k750

@NyteMunkey
I think your problem is like this bro, try to go setting and find the internet setting on your phone, these are gprs,mms, and etc. before, i tried to set the setting to gprs but it will not save the setting meaning it will not set to gprs but i have the gprs config in it. And it is a firmware issue in did. The solution is update your firmware.

Delete all the settings that were present on your mobile and then open SE website and goto phones and select phone and select gprs and wap settings and select your operator and region and youll receive settings

Oh the SE site doesnt help for my phone/location/provider, the site no longer has the settings for the k850i, it just says use the phone. However I pretty much fixed the problem. I went to the Tmobile store and got a new SIM card. Mine was about 6 and 1/2 years old. The new one works much better. It downloads the settings for the browser but not MMS. That's fine w/ me |
