Go to Control Panel
---> Internet accounts ---> click on New tab and
enter MO as Account name, select GPRS in Connection type

Click on Advanced tab and follow the instructions:

In Server tab
Address: airtelgprs.com
Proxy tab
Check the Use proxy server box
Proxy server address: 202.56.231.117
Proxy server port: 8080

Change only above settings and leave all the others as same

Click Done

Now goto Messaging accounts in Control panel

Click on New tab do the following changes:
In Basic tab
Account name: Gmail
Your name: here your name
Email address: here enter your gmail address,

Eg: sample@gmail.com
Connection type: POP3
Internet account: MO

In Passwords tab
Username: here enter your username, Eg: sample
Password: here enter your password
Outbox
Check Use SMTP authentication box
also Check Inbox login details

In Inbox tab
Incoming server address: pop.gmail.com
Download: Just headers

In Outbox
Outgoing server address: smtp.gmail.com

In Advanced tab
Outgoing security: Dedicated port
Outgoing mail port: 465
Check Use Mime encoding box
Incoming security: Dedicated port
Incoming mail port: 995
Leave the Secure password authentication box blank

Now click Done and select the Preferred in
Messaging accounts as Gmail and click Done.
Now you are ready to use GPRS in your a1000.

Also I think there is a problem in directly

connecting to net through browser. So, you first

goto messages then under message click receive &

send button. Now it will connect. And as soon as

the message Establishing Connection via MO

disappears, you click on cancel in the next

message displayed.
Now you are connected.
You can browse and to disconnect Under Browse in

Browser Click on Disconnect.
