As title says i wonder can Samsung phones be updated online like Sony Ericsson or Nokia

actually they have include the update service into their latest samsung pc studio 7.7
personally, i prefer apollo software, a tool just like a2flasher, xs++... u can flash ur phone, mix firmware and others.

Yes, but updates appear once every blue moon
Samsung do tend to get things right first time, unlike Nokia and SE.

Strangely i have read that only minor things with Samsung go wrong with early software things like call or microphone problems then it hour sorted quick.

I'm on my third Samsung now, Tocco, Omnia and Omnia HD and have had firmware releases for all of them. I googled for the Tocco and found the firmware with a flasher. The Omnia had updates released directly from the Samsung site and the HD updates through the Samsung (Nokia) PC Suite.

I think the flasher is fairly generic for most of the none smartphones. Do a google to find a decent forum to point you in the direction of the lastest firmwares.
