Aussi Aussi Aussi - Oi Oi Oi!

Looking good so far. I see the UK press this morning was mostly (once again) hoping the weather will save the brits
How about the Brits actually win without counting on the weather?

...and just last week all the UK press were raving how England had a chance because Aussie fast bowler Brett Lee is out due to injury for the first, and maybe the second test

might as well start packaging up the urn ready for its trip back home

um, btw, but why are they playing in Wales when its Australia vs England?

Here we go , gloat while you can Masseur, but in truth, nobody in the UK who didn't go to public school give's a rats ass about cricket, so you could whitewash us 5-0 and it would be less important than if Wayne Rooney had a tooth out

lol, already dismissing this with throw away jibes

I have a feeling that public school is what we call private school? where you have to pay big bucks? public school for us is where most people go.

so you're saying that UK has no real cricket fans? if thats the case then the buzz in my office must be highly unusual as they almost all watch online during the day and most of the discussion this last few days has been cricket!

Yeah, about ten minutes before it all starts, were all geared up and hopefull, then ten minutes AFTER it starts, the dreadful realization sinks in that were not quite good enough and might as well throw in the towel right now

well.. there's a long way to go so I won't count our chickens just yet
it just really gets me when I hear each time that the weather is the only hope of saving England

though actually, I'm not really much of a follower of cricket (or golf... I'd rather watch grass grow or paint dry)... I prefer to follow the Wallabies (rugby union), or St Kilda (aussie rules)

Haha. I think Australians are the only ones who get that game. Or don't laugh at it.

It's too old and frail to leave, also one of a kind, unlike the FA cup, Jules Rimet, FIFA World Cup etc etc...

Oh! and have you tried getting anything through Oz customs? good luck getting ashes through!!

though I didn't think much of it at the time, there's comments around the office that England were using time wasting tactics, and I heard on the radio coming into work that the Aussie captain made some comments about it. In fact here's more about it at the BBC news site

Lol. There's always gonna be some dirty tricks played when it comes to the Ashes. You aussies would be up to it too if the position was reversed!

Quite humerous though - I can't stand Ricky Ponting either
