Today ... the phone in cradle and charging. Not connected to PC ... red LED came on and this cute graphic appears 'pointing to the power button with the number 10' ... after awhile ... i got the cue ... it's telling me to press the power button for 10 seconds to reset phone. Still wondering why .... this is the 2nd time. (The 1st time was during a game of MIB)
So far ... this phone is pretty stable. other than the occasional failure to activate the QWERTY keyboard (tapping it but no keyboard appears) ... Sometime, the cam is on but no picture in viewfinder. Just the word Sony Ericsson ... but it's still possible to take pics jux that u wouldn't know what u are shootin at!
RF isn't that fantastic either ... it's always going up and down ... and not to mention the 'soft' loudspeaker mode!? Couldn't sync at all from day one ... Overall .. still pretty pleased with it ... I am 75% happy but not quite over the moon yet ... |

Those reasons could explain why it's delayed in the UK. |

It`s more likely to be where they are built, because mine does none of that exept one 10 second reset thing when i first got it, there seems to be two seperate groups of p8 owners on esato, one group who have the probs you mention & another group (inc me) who`s phones are very stable. mine is from philippines.

I've had my P800 for a week now and it has been pretty stable. I did experience the 10 sec thing once when surfing the web but other than that it has been great.
The 10 sec message reminds me of the 'program has performed an illegal operation and will now close' message that appears in Windows. |

Well it`s only an idea, mine has written on the sticker under the battery, "indonesian warranty" in the top right corner of the barcode sticker.

I can make the triangle appear by playing a movie then close the flip. Anyways, its normal, only an indication that an application had an illegal operations.
