I am connecting a Vista machine to a Nintendo Wii remote (long story). I was advised to use the WIDCOMM 5.1.0.1100 version driver.

I have installed the driver, and patched it. It works... once. Then I have to reboot to connect again.

Installation went according to plan, except for the last step: instead of popping up with a 'New hardware found' box when I insert my dongle, the bluetooth icon just turns white.

I am running Vista on a Compaq Presario CQ50 Notebook PC. My bluetooth dongle is a Broadcom 2045 Bluetooth 2.0 USB-UHE device.

Anyone here got any ideas?
