I have a sony ericsson G502, which has been working fine for the last six months. Last week, for no apparent reason, it suddenly started crashing. The screen freezes when you are trying to do something and then it reboots. The crashes seem to be happening more and more frequently.
Anyone have similar problems with this phone?

Make sure you have enough phone memory because low memory space can make the phone slow and crash more often. Otherwise a firmware update could fix it?

I have the same problem. The phone reboots randomly. I had thousands of texts and I deleted them all now. I now delete all SMS messages everyday and this actually seems to help but I'm not entirely sure. My phone just restarted when I was transferring files from my computer and I realised I hadn't deleted messages for a couple of days. Just did it.

Is there a new firmware upgrade available? Will have that checked. I have updated mine more than six months ago but I'm sceptical about doing it now because the fastport is dirty and I'm having problems working with the charger and DCU-60. I read a topic on cleaning the fastport connector elsewhere on this forum, will try that first!

Take care, while cleaning. Be gentle. You don't want a waterdamage.
