Hi!
in a nutshell, or any other container, is there anything better than the Stereo bluetooth headset HBH-DS980?
I have the DS980.... and use it paired with my iPod Touch..
just wondering if I can get better sound.

May be others with possibly better sound but not with all the functions and style DS980 offers Perhaps you could use a "cheap" DS205/DS220 and combined with some Schneider earphones you'll obtain better audio quality.
But first, maybe you should specify what are you looking for exactly, a BT A2DP with a screen, controls, best battery life, best audio quality, in-ear/head phones??

Ofiaich, you being a ds980 user pls answer my question urgently.
I want this 980, but one question- will it plays all the sounds coming from the phone? I mean, game sound, video playing, error sound from phone. Pls reply urgently as i have given advance for it and today it will be in my hand.
Also brief about your experience with it.Thanks

Simply amazing sound...!
It plays all sounds through Bluetooth stereo headset..
Even if u use any other .jar application to play songs.

Good point! I am looking for something that does the same as the HBH-DS980. So taking calls as well as listening to music. Using my own headphones would be ideal!
The HBH-DS980 work well but the neck band broke a long time ago.. I suppose Stereo Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-DS220 would be a good replacement.

Yesterday, i got it. Yeah it plays every thing.
Few problem- firstly Video is lagging. 
secondly, when a caller call, it plays that boring sony ericsson ringtone eventhough you have set another ringtone. That ringtone is legging as well.
Thirdly, the phonebook browsing is also slow.
I have my own accoustic mix. On hpm 90, it gives very deep bass and loud sound, but i feel that both bass and loudness is not up to hpm 90. Should i revert back to original ?

HBH-DS980 gives great sound with original acoustics.
No need of any modified acoustic.

What about ringtone ? You guys also hear the sony ericsson ringtone everytime you received a call?
This is my first time using any bluetooth handsfree. So may be you feel like i am asking so much or nagging you, but the fact is that i am so excite to have this master piece. My question is do you guys always keep your bluetooth on? I am not stupid, i am asking this because once the 980 is in your paired devices, i can connect to it without turning it on. And while the kit is connected, the bluetooth shows off. This is the way i connect. Tell me if i am wrong. May be thats why i have suffered connection lost couple of time. Thrice from the morning.

When using the DS980 with an iPod Touch, do all the controls work? Volume, next/previous track, pause?
Also, does the display show anything? Still use my DS980 with my W960i |

On windows, it doesn't show the track on display. But you can still skip and play/pause the tracks and volume control also works.
And while connected to Nokia phones, no display of the track. So i think same will be the case with iPod touch.
p.s. does iPod touch has BT?
