Hi,

We're a market research company undertaking research to understand mobile usage habits of SmartPhone users. To achieve this end objective, we have developed a software internally to be installed on a respondent's SmartPhone. This software transmits LIVE data relating to mobile usage habits of a respondent to our server.

The data relates to number of hours the net was surfed, number of calls made/received, number of SMS' sent/received, number of fotos clicked, duration for which listened to radio, etc. We do not capture content of the messages and communication or which fotograf was clicked, that is, any personal information of the respondent.

The software is compatible with Symbian II, Symbian III, Windows Mobile, UIQ and Android phones. However, we realise that in a large number of cases, post-installation, the software stops posting data to our server after a few days (on many an occasion it might be very next day).

This is despite the fact that there is no antivirus installed on the person's mobile phone (which might otherwise block posting data to our server), minimum balance is maintained for GPRS (in case of prepaid phones), GPRS is functional, the person is not on roaming (which can block transfer of data), phone was not formatted, SIM card was not changed, etc.

You guys foresee any specific reason due to which the software might have stopped posting data to our server despite all factors being in favor of the software being functional?

Please let me know in case you've got questions related thereto.

Thanks!
Sagar
