Okay I am ordering a Mac today and have decided on this one (see below) but need to know whether the price is good or not? Its £545 delivered. Please help.

Looks fine to me. Are you sure you dont want an intell based Mac.

the keyboard and mouse are wicked, brilliant look and formfactor. they have those at my university. looks like a pretty good deal to me!

Whats the benefits of having a Intel based one? Are they similar prices?

Intel is future-proof, as PPC was killed off a few years back. They're unlikely to switch to other hardware.
If I'm not mistaken, Snow Leopard will not run on PowerPC processors.

With intell you have dual-core, yes it works quick and the prices are almost the same. SnowLeopard will make even more advantage of the dual-core.

Apple's refurbished store could be a good place?
And the OS is very easy, just pop the DVD in and go! Takes under an hour.
