Well in about two weeks time i can upgrade my phone, I'm just torn between the X1 and the N97... I currently have a W960i Which i absolutely hate. It's not really thumb friendly, It lags alot, the seven button or the hash button dosnt work and the headphone jack doesn't work... basically what would be the best phone? or is there any other alternatives? And i live in the UK on Vodafone
Thanks in advance. =) |

Just noticed X1 isn't available till October so I'm guessing its the n97 on the top of the list? but are there any other alternatives?

You could go for the HTC TouchPro or TouchPro 2 if you don't manage to find the X1. The N97 has a rather crappy interface.

Well I've found out my password for my old account at least....ts royston1 sorry about the profile change i forgot the password to this one so i had to make another one. I don't think the HTC pros are available, is there another alternative to the N97? Because due to me looking at the videos the UI looks extremely slow. alot like my W960i. Some specifications are that i listen to quite alot of music, a QWERTY keyboard will be a big plus, and i to be frankly honest im a man that wants to have a nice looking phone.
Thanks =)  |

Well, maybe someone from the UK mioght be able to help you better, sorry. In my opinion though, you should either go for the HTC ToughPro 2 or the X1.

Alright thanks for trying. hopefully someone from UK will come along, I'm just feeling the N97. The only real downs for me is the UI doesn't really look that attractive and looking quite laggy. I'm just trying to see if there is another alternatives. |

Well, Im not from the UK either, so I don't know what phones are available with Voda UK, but in general, both Touch Pros are available, the original from August last year and the Touch Pro2 since last week.
My husband has the Touch Pro and it's a great piece of kit, a beauty too , personally, I think it's even better looking (all-black), than the Touch Pro 2. The keyboard is very good.

Theres not much HTC's out here yet. i think the newest one that came out was the HTC Magic. But im really not feeling the N97 Now, alot of people have said for it to be laggy and made out of all plastic. |

In the UK the Iphone is only available for O2, and I'm on Vodafone. So you really think the N97 would be good?
Thanks |

I'd go for the N97 it has a great feature set, the X1 is only good if you decide to mess around with the rom as the stock rom isn't that great (currently using HTC's touchflo3d on my x1). As some have menioned the HTCs are also an option, the touchflo interface makes winmo alot more accessible but not amazing, best thing to do is have a play instore see what tickles your fancy.
Hope this helps
