I've got a pb with my T300.
After locking the keypad, if I keep pressed the "No" key during 10sec, the screen switch off !
After that when I restart the phone it becomes very slowww during few sec and sometimes I got nothing on display, only the battery gauge.
It's very annoying to found my phone swiched off when I take it back from my pocket
Do you have same thing with yours ?

It's not a bug or something like that. It some kind of feature. When your phone hangs in the menu you press the no button for 10sec and the phone switch of. That's instead of taking your batteri of. It's like a computer when it hangs and you press the reset button.

It's too bad ! Because of this i can't have my phone in my pocket. If u're right It's non-sens coz when keypad is locked, light still off until you unlock it ! So what's the deal ? And about strange state with only batt gauge on screen?

Try to press and hold the no button when the keylock is on and you will see that it will switch off. About the battery gauge I have no idea. Do you have to restart it again?

@stajlerboy: yes it switch off, but directly, without SE shut off logo. That's why I though it was strange. Yes I have to restart again when I have the batt gauge pb.

Ok. The SE shall not show when you switch it of that way. But the battery gauge problem must be a bug or something. I suggest you do a software upgrade.

Well since it is a reset function, the phone resets immediatly after 10s, just like a pc does when you press reset. What kind of pockets do you have? My phone has never reset itself while having it keylocked in my pockets. The fact that you have to press and hold the no button for 10s should make it almost impossible too happen in pockets, unless you have tons of stuff in the pockets

The holding no for 10 sec is a feature to combat hangups especially on phones with no removable battery. The gauge is no error. It`s a nifty little feature which shows you how much battery you have without having to switch the phone off if you press the no key for a split second

Pressing the NO for 10 seconds to reset is really a dumb feature! Why cant they simply remove the battery for resetting? In fact this is the preferred choice! So Hopefully, SE technicians will remove this dumb feature and replace it with something more usefull.
