Hi guys!!
I've just got a c902 about three weeks ago and i've since been testing its camera. I don't know a lot about picture taking and i've just now started learning more about that. Still, i know when a picture seems blurry or not. And i've noticed some strange thing about the c902: The picture seems to ALWAYS get blurry (when i say blurry it's as in things seem to be moving and there are traces of the things, is that understandable?) with anything that is moving. And even if things aren't moving, it sometimes gets blurry. i've tried all the different settings and combinations of those settings and that characterist never changes. Even in daylight with the sports setting (which i think is the one with most iso and so it's the one that should have the most "frozen" pictures) it still gets blurry: with the object focused and far, or close, or mid range, or whatever. It always does that.
So i got a little upset and started trying other things. my mom has an 8mp camera, so i tried with hers and the pictures never came blurry even if i was moving my hands really fast. but ok.. its an actual camera, right? So i tried my friends K850, with iso on 400 (which c902 can't change..) and EVERY FREAKIN PICTURE came out perfect and still. Even if the object was moving like CRAZY or if I was moving my hands like crazy and then took the picture while doing that.
What i wanted to know is if the C902 IS like that or if my C902 is like. Can you guys comment on that? And if you could, try those things i tried and tell me if yours are like that too. Or maybe everyone knows that i don't lol..
And of course, i'm with the orginal driver (the latest firmware from SE).
Oh, and another test i did a lot was with a fan turned on. With the k850 it was as if the picture was taken with the fan turned off (EVERY PICTURE) and with the c902 it was as if the fan was moving fast. Not even ONE picture came with the fan still, and i swear i took so many pictures in so many different ways.
Anways, maybe i'm doing something wrong too, i don't know. I'm really sad with the cam on c902. That was the main purpose of buying it and now i'll just have to stick with mine for at least two years or something, so if i could do something to make it better, it would be very nice.
Thanks guys! |

Maybe you have a defective unit with a bad camera module which can't focus correctly. A question, has your phone had any fall??
I'll take it to a service centre, or claim warranty if it has one.

It hasn't had any falls at all. And it does have some difficult to focus (it doesnt focus sometimes so i have to press halfway again). But, do you have the phone? are you sure the phone isn't actually like that?
It doesn't seem as if it was deffective. Its seems like its a bad camera. I dont know.. pictures made STILL get focused.. well.. i don't know =(..
Thanks

I do not have the phone, but I've seen enough photos from its camera to know you have a problem.
When you set focus to infinite, pics are blurry too?? If you can post some pics with the settings you've used, maybe other members with more experience could help you too

Hello there, I had same problem when I bought C902.
But after few weeks I learned how to shoot good pictures.
Want some advices? No problems.
1. First of all turn off stabilizer, it reduce hand shaking effects along with picture quality.
Digital stabilizers are very bad and unneeded.
2. Always use manual white balance settings.
3. Don't use document scene when doing documents pictures, change focus mode to macro manually.
4. Use ev only when you really need it, under heavy sunshine or in dark places.
Change it only by low values, using ev mostly of time makes big noises in digital cameras.
5. Change metering mode to spot when scene is either darker or lighter than the point you want to concentrate your af.
6. If place where you're doing pictures is very dark you can increase flash value by using best pic which will overbright picture. |

Hi guys! I've tried some other things, maybe it was just me, but let me say:
I've tried in good daylight, and pictures seem ok, i even took pictures with people moving or even myself moving the phone and they came out good.
Still, when i take pictures indoor, they seem to all come out bad, even if i take pictures with the light turned on (i think the light is good in my room). and they seem to get blurry even if things are moving reaaaally slow.
if you guys (c902 users) could do some tests for me it would be very nice:
- If could take pictures of your fans turned on and tell me if they come out "still" (as if then fan was off) or if they come out with the fan moving. That seems to be a good test for me lol cuz i'm really sad the k850 takes the pic and it seems still every time lol =/..
- tell me if your pictures (indoor) do come out blurry sometimes and if you have to hold veeery still
- if indoor it is harder to focus (when it focuses the phone makes a noise and the thing in the middle turns green right?). Lots of times i press it halfway and it doesn't focus (indoor without lights only with flash, and sometimes even with lights on)
all of that with original se drivers and auto mode or even sports mode or whatever, just tell me how you did lol..
what kind of pictures you guys want me to post?
Oh, and shadovraven, thanks!! i do almost everything you said already and they really help, but the pictures i took were with all those things already!!! I had seen you post that same thing in other post already so i already knew those things lol =P
thanks a lot!!!

With LED it's almost impossible to get fast shutter speed, so you can't capture fan moving. i have tried it with my C902 and K800i, k800i can make the fan freeze with its Xenon, and the c902 can't get it.
for me C902 can take good picture in daylight condition, and it's so hard to get good picture when the light condition bad (like indoor or low light). |
