T68i Thermometer, why is it not utilized |

Just read the T68i has a built in Thermometer, i know its quite useless, but why does the software not take advantage of this feature? |

Lots of phones does (don't know if not all), but only phone i know that user can access this function is nokia 5210. And you're right - it is useless. At the phone i had in my hands it didn't show always even close temperature, as it's not ment to. It suppose to monitor battery temp. |

You can't get to it from the menu. Has to be done via some software such as T68x Monitor or floAt's Mobile Agent and do it over a lead, ir or bluetooth.

You can also look it up from the service menu. Don't remember the combination right now. Do a forum search

Internal temp sensors usually exist in most electronic devices and will shut down the device if the temp is outside of the normal operating temperature range. I.e. if a chip gets too hot and could kill itself the phone should shut off before it gets too hot.
