Hi !
Is it OK to use a BB Charger in a Garmin unit and vice versa?
I think the finer details of each charger is clear.
I think the answer is yes, but I am not sure if the configuration of the connection is the same even thought it fits.
Some technical advice would be welcomed.

They both ouput 5V, however, the BB charger is @0.5A, and the Garmin @1A.
The current between the two appears to vary, meaning your Garmin charger may cook your BB, and your BB charger may not be particularly good with your Garmin.

No, actually the BB will only draw as many amps as it needs. You could give it 50000000000A @ 5v and it would only take as much as it needed (which would be something like 0.5A)
So, in short: The BB will work in the garmin charger, but the garmin will overload, and potentially cause to catch on fire, the BB charger

I'm with fatreg here. In my experience any mini-usb device can be charged with any mini-usb charger, as they all stick to a standard. I never had any problems with it. I been charging my mp4 player with my O2 Orbit charger, and the other way around and when I still had my GPS module I used that one too. Mini-usb has certain specifications, and as such the chargers should be interchangeable as well as using a usb port on any PC.

As yea g said about the current. Be careful using a lower current charger on an item that requires a higher current as you do run the risk of burning out the charger as the item being charged pulls more current than the charger can supply.
