HI Folks,
I'm from Switzerland and am using Sunrise ( DiaX ) as a provider and i would like to know what the Settings are for me to get my E-mails cuz i can't seem to make it. Problem is, i go to get and send, GPRS is activated, but nothing happens after, it just breaks out. My E-mail Provider is Swissonline.
Can somebody Help me??
Just becuz i rock, doesn't mean i'm made of stone!! |

There are many discussions in the forums already. Try to find and read the topics on it. Generaly, If Swissonline mail system supports POP3 or IMAP4, it is possible for you to get your email from phone client. You need also another SMTP server for your email sending.

...well, you do have GPRS enabled for your contract.
At least those T-Mobile bastards are going to charge you for every day you want to use GPRS, unless you pay about 20 bucks in addition to your monthly fee and 5MB traffic or something...

Uhm... so those Swisscom dudes are offering a "by-call" solution for GPRS, even if your card doesn't support it?! I'd really get a data contract first. You might end up being charged €2,50 for 50kb and €1 for each connection.
Bastards I tell ya!

The Swisscom website seems to be down right now... maybe that's the friggin' reason!

Are you connected via GPRS anyways? Didya try it via the cradle yet?! Ya won't have to fret around with the GPRS settings when you connect via USB y'know.
Your email settings are at swissonline, of course. How do you check your email usually anyways? Just use your settings from whatever email client you use. |
