Hiya,

got the mp3 player, but the songs sound washed out (mainly on vocals) - now on my second handset but still the same...

Hopefully going to get software upgraded on saturday, will this help???

Make sure the jack is pushed right in as far is it will go. There is a ring of metal that must clip into a rather tight clip quite far inside the whole. I had my jack slippin out all over the place (so to speak) until I noticed that it needs a really good push.

Yes that should solve the problem. With a standard set of earplugs (Sony) with a 2.5mm adaptor, there are no problems at all. Voice section of Ericsson ones must need to be connected or you get interference.
