Hi

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced a problem like this:

- connect phone via USB, pops up option re. which mode to go into, pick phone mode, shows up in PC as connected but battery icon on phone doesn't change to charge (despite charging function definitely being on in the menu)
- unplug phone from USB
- switch off phone
- plug into USB
- phone enters mass storage mode, charging icon comes on, phone charges OK

So it only seems to want to charge when switched off Obviously better than not doing it at all but I can't understand why it's doing this!

Any suggestions gratefully received!

Seems not all driver properly installed and detected...
See your Device Manager, is there any devices with "?" sign?

Try to reinstall PC Suite... I've got this problem long time ago

You will have to enable the USB Charging in the service menu.
Move the joystick in this direction

Ahh, I hadn't realised the drivers were required for charging - I hadn't installed the SE suite on this machine as it's just my netbook (and the Bluetooth connection for dial-up works fine without) but will install it now.

@totalgsm - it's already on in the menu, see my OP
