It is possible even without patch, but as i told u it becomes unlimited theoretically only. U won't be able to store more than 400-500 msg.. Mesgs get corrupted when the number of msgs increases. I had a K750i few years ago and i knw all these issues... So its better to stick with 250 msgs (default storage) or change ur phone whihc have practically unlimited storage like any SE A2 phone in the market.

still if you want to try then here it the tutorial:
You can expand your SMS Memory:
1. Browse to the folder /ifs/settings/messaging/ with FAR Manager
2. select pref_store.txt an hit F4
3. Just change "/smsdata" in "/tpa"
4. Save the changes
5. Now restart your Phone and be happy

Yup, actually pref_store.txt is a Notepad file. When u hit F4 the notepad window opens up. By default there is written "/smsdata". Replace it by typing "/tpa".
