Wow. That was worse then reading engadget who actually had a proper review.

And are they sure the labels weren't mixed up or taken at a different time of day? Cause I swear if a 2MP camera can do that I must have been living in 2005...

It's actually a failure to understand the fact that people use their phones for different things.
While touch is nice in some areas, its just not needed in most.

Also, in the US people email with their phones instead of texting apperently.

its not about the touch stuff
of course touch phones aren't the solution to every problem
but the point is, that phones haven't changed much in the past years
apple showed what else can be done with todays technology
now would be the time not to copy apple, but finally start to get more creative

The key here is to keep an open mind, and that review sadly has closed all the floodgates.

there is some truth in his statement ......and i'm not talking only about SE ,
all companies have this problem
I see that Lg and Samsung are changing some stuff and sony ericsson starts to do the same thing with Satio and Aino
in my opinion the only company that are sleeping for 18 months is Nokia(Motorola is dead for me so....ZN5 it was ok ,in rest nothing)

For those who believe no explanation is necessary, For those who don't none will suffice

The issue is simply that it's not good enough, for such an expensive phone that's supposed to have all these great features. I completely understand where the reviewer is going with the T68 comparison. A grid array of colourful icons, a directional controller to select them, options buried in submenus and lists to be scrolled through - you don't know if I'm talking about the T68's UI or the W995, do you? The thing is, on the T68 that interface was simple and worked pretty well because the phone's features were relatively simple - no music, no video, no camera, no java apps or games. If you're paying $600 or whatever this phone costs in the rest of the world, in order to have access to all those features and more that you expect from a higher-end brand new phone, you deserve a better interface and better user experience that makes everything in the W995 as easy to use as a T68 was, and you just don't get that.
