My daughter dropped her 0.5 years old W595 on the ground from about 40 cm above, and it landed in such unfortunate way that it split into two separate parts, the display and the slider in one part and the rest of the phone in the other part. Strangely enough, the phone was still functioning, since the flat ribbon cable connecting the display with the main board was still intact, but after a while of handling the phone in that condition, the cable broke too. We found that the local phone dealer near us, "the PhoneHouse" had a fixed price of 1300 SEK (about 120 euros) for all phone repairs, and we took that offer. Now it's repaired, and it is functioning perfectly again, and hopefully, my daughter is somewhat more careful with her phone from now on. The question is, do you think the repair was worth the money?

Afaik, phones are rather expensive in Sweden, they cost more than in the UK or the Netherlands, so in these countries these repair costs would be very high, but in your country the price might be ok.

How much would a new W595 cost at your end ?

The price is descending, since there are newer models on the way, and it's somewhat difficult to tell the exact price, since the phones sometimes (as in this case) comes with a subscription contract. But at the time the phone was bought, the price for a phone without ant strings was about 3000 SEK. Now, I think, it's somewhat lower, much depending on where to buy it.

Yeah, i mean 130 euros (£130) over here (UK) would be an awfull lot to spend repairng a phone, considering brand new they go for £100 (100euros)

Unfortunately, it's not only phones that are expensive in Sweden, as far as I understand. Everything is, except maybe the salaries . For example, you can fly to USA, buy a brand new Volvo there and ship it home to Sweden, and the total cost will still be lower than buying that Swedish car in Sweden.
However, in a proportional perspective, is it reasonable to pay about half the purchase price for a repair of a phone?
