I want it too but i'm not going to wait forever.......It is only released on 1st August 2009 on Orange on contract, It probably won't be available sim free until around Mid-Late September unless people start listing them on Ebay as soon as they are released on Orange contract on 1st August 2009.

Sim Free, It looks as though it is going to cost between £400-£550.

I want a touchscreen phone with a decent camera, I have the original Samsung Pixon M8800 and it's a very good phone but the Pixon 12 M8910 has a lot of improvements such as AMOLED screen, Wi-Fi and a better camera with better flash etc etc.

I think we are going to be frustrated with this phone being released.

I got a SE W995 for the meantime. I want the Pixon 12 for the better camera though. I liked the old pixon but never got it due to poor flash and wi-fi the new one has all that.

It's a real shame that there is not any other decent touchscreens around with a decent flash, The LG Renoir is a phone i considered many times but it's flash is so poor that it is no better than a LED flash.

The Samsung Jet looks like a great phone but again it only has Dual LED flash, Why do companies still use LED? Surely these days they should be using Xenon & LED like the new Samsung Pixon 12 M8910.

The Samsung Pixon 12 M8910 is the phone that i really really want but i want another phone a.s.a.p and i'm just not prepared to wait weeks on end.

Hopefully some will start popping up on ebay as soon as loads of people get their new Pixon 12 delivered from Phones 4U on 1st August.

You are right that there aren’t touchscreen with decent xenon flash ATM, however the only one that has the better flash is the Renoir, weak as xenon flash but all the way better than dual or “new generation” led.
For example a led flash can’t obtain this result in total darkness:

A comparison between Renoir and Innov8:

The M8910 seems to have a strong xenon and great quality, but, probably, the new LG 12 mp. too.
I will wait 3 or 4 month for the new LG and after i will chose my new cameraphone.

well, the i8910 is big, granted, but what a screen!. I'm using it now, and finding it, after debranding from orange, hugely responsive..no lag, no nothing. It just works. Happy days.

PERFECT can i ask you a few questions about the Renoir? as i am curious.

Is the touch screen very responsive? is it easy to text on and do you think the camera is really good? i have read some reveiws about the phone and some sites say the colours aren't very good and stuff, do you agree?

My Renoir was really bad with flash. Look at the samples above. Renoir chooses ISO 635??? and the Samsung Iso 200. Major difference. The Renoir shot in a little bigger size would look awful. Colours seems better also with Samsung.

I always felt that the Renoir choosed wrong Iso and that you never find the "right" value. Either to dark or to bright. And look at the distance. Is it 2 meters or so and already these flash problems.

c901, n82, c905 wipes the floor with Renoir on this.

@northmonkey: the touchscreen is very responsive and easy to use, it’s very good for me. The camera is the best 8 mp. you can get on the market now, together with Innov8. Sometimes the colours are not the best in automode, but if you set the wright whitebalance you can have really great colours. Judge youself looking my shots, usually i use the proper whitebalance setting it. It’s a real great phone with a great camera. That’s for sure.

@Pitzon: the comparison was taken in auto mode for both phones, in total darkness the Renoir uses iso 635 and Innov8 iso 200. Better colours in Innov8 pic??? I see something else, Samsung’s colours have a blue tint, they aren’t real. Way better Renoir’s colours.
Does Renoir chose a wrong iso with flash? Don’t think so. For example it use iso 252 in automode in this pic taken in a nightclub:

And in bigger size it look like this:

100% crop Renoir - flash - iso 252
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

100% crop Renoir - flash - iso 635
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

100% crop Renoir - flash - iso 635
Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Considering that those are the worst conditions for Renoir, due to use of its weak xenon flash, it’s quite “acceptable” imo.
We all know that C901,C905 and N82 wipe the floor with Renoir, we were speaking about touchscreen flash.
