@bronxdude, im glad that your BT headset is now working.. but thats really weird
as for the memory card classes, the higher the class, the faster the transfer speed.. i think class 2 transfers at 2mbps and class 6 transfers at 6mbps..
but of course, the gadget should also be class 6 compatible so that it could make full use of the speed |

No, thats not true. I have a SanDisk MicroSDHC 4GB class 2 card for my K850i and that is faster than class 6. (Those class 6 brands are different though)
Check below, I uploaded some pictures there.
Just ordered a 16gb Class 6 MicroSDHC

Speed Class Rating
The Speed Class Rating is the official unit of speed measurement for SD Cards, defined by the SD Association. It is equal to 8 Mbit/s, and it measures the minimum write speeds based on "the best fragmented state where no memory unit is occupied":[10]
The following are the ratings of some currently available cards:
Class 2: 16 Mbit/s (2 MB/s)
Class 4: 32 Mbit/s (4 MB/s)
Class 6: 48 Mbit/s (6 MB/s)
Class 10: 80 Mbit/s (10 MB/s)

Fredrix, information on Wikipedia is not always 100% correct. Moreover the info i shared in my previous post is based on my personal experience. Not theoretical values.
I get following speeds on my card:
Read: 144-200Mb/s or 18-25MB/s
Write: 104-144Mb/s or 13-18MB/s

I dont doubt your information, a class is only guarantee a certain minimum speed.
Class 2 = they guarantee minimum 2 MB/s.
Class 6 = they guarantee minimum 6 MB/s.
If you get a higher speed on your class 2 than your class 6, then good for you.
Regarding wikipedia, even sandisk give the same information

I know you have a class 2.
Im obviously not clear here, my point is that the class is just showing the minimum guaranteed speed of a card.
When you say that your class 2 is faster than a class 6, have you tested the maximum speed of a class 6 then ?

Not the same card reader and not the same computer = dead end.
Anyhow, can we all agree that with a class 6 you are guaranteed a higher speed than a class 2 minimum !
Nobody did say anything about the highest speed guaranteed !

CPW are offering a refurbished aino for £195, http://www.carphonewarehouse.[....]u-go/refurbished-payg-handsets
For those of you that don't know the aino was pulled from CPW after less than a month of sales, little demand and a high number of returns were the main cause. 02 sold the Aino and really pushed it, but still didn't catch on, and is discontinued. |
