I know this isn't related to Sony Ericsson, but this is the main forum after all. You should have a 'General' section, that's how most other forums work! Noone ever posts in the real 'general' forum anyways.

This was announced today, the new 8910 in real titanium!

Venger >

Yes they do post in these "other manufacturers" forum, and the other forums as well
Thats why I moved your post into this.

There are actually already 3 topics on the 8910 ;-D

----------

BTW : the Titanium is cool,..just cant understand that the 8910 weights in at 110g.
Shouldnt the titanium, and the size of the phone. actually make it lighter.

Totally agree with Svedge!
Like all the latest Nokia phones...

It will be needing SW update every week
in order not to freeze as they usually do...

I don't agree with you guys. I love my T68 that I've had for almost three months, but I'd rather have a fast, user friendly phone than a slooooow complicated one.

Say you meet a guy and you want to add his number. His name is Mike and his number is 12345678. I'm gonna do it now and check how many seconds it takes from being keylocked to having added the number completely, I have a stopwatch...

28 seconds. I accidentally entered another menu thanks to slipping on the joystick, so lets say 24 seconds. You can do it on a Nokia - ANY nokia - in under 12 seconds.

That is why I don't hate Nokia. They make phones that work. I still love my T68 though - but once it's flashy features turn old and noone is impressed by it anymore, all you are left with is a slow phone.

Prove me wrong.

I agree with you that Nokia is MUCH more user friendly and fast, but it's also a bit boring and they release some great phones, but with some prehistoric function... like all the latest phones were really without WAP and yet you can get it on a crappy Trium or something

I think with the software updates and everything, that you will be completely sattisfied with you
To be honest, I was going to sell my T68 at the end of January cos I was sick of it, but thanks to this forum, I feel like I'm one of the luckiest guys of the world and you lot are the others!!!!

Ericsson, connecting FRIENDS!!!

If it is closed, you can say it is something .... (not nice though). But if you open it is really ugly.
Venger has a point. I think he is correct. However, venger, don't forget that this phone is not for the present time. I mean it has no features at all! Only another design. To be honnest, 8850 looks better!

Venger, I used to complain about the slowness of my T68 with R1B..now with R2A, i am quiet happy about the speed and hopefully with R2B, it gets better. What I like about the T68 is that the phone has an upgradable OS and has much more function that Nokia and hence some of the complication take place. Nokia software is the same as that with their 6210. If we use the phone just to take and receive call, no doubt Nokia is a good phone but if we were to use the phone for more than that such as the GPRS, Wap, e-mail, using it as modem, tri-band, and color screen, then T68 is a better phone. Don't get me wrong, i have always been a Nokia user till T68.

I can't help it...

Ericsson is the first mobile company to use Titanium on mobile phones.

A titanium T68? Why not!

I love the T68, but to tell you the truth i think the 8910 is a very sleek phone. It covers up the key pad so it won't scratch and is protected while in your pocket, purse or coat jacket.

But again I cannot understand why Nokia continues to make phones that are dual mode only. ARE THEY THAT THICK HEADED not to understand that someone who pays that kind of coin for a phone is likely to travel to the US or another part of the world using 1900. Come on, Nokia has one phone that is tri-band and you want to talk about antique, the 8890 is prehistoric.

Nokia is going to loose market share if they keep this bull shit going.

Harley > the 8890 is actually not a triband, it features 900 and 1900 gsm, not the 1800.

A lot of people thought that 8890 was triband, but "as usual" its only dual.

They dont have any tribands
