Hi,

I have a Sony Ericsson C905. Its manufacture year is 2009. The problem i have with it is the No.3 Button works as the Power Button. When i press and hold the No.3 button the phone turns off. But when the phone is off i cant turn it on by pressing the No.3 button. I have to press the Power button to turn it on.And when i go to an application and press the No.3 button the application quits. When i press the No.3 button in the main menu, the main menu quits. Its big problem cuz i cant even type a message or dial a phone no. which has no.3 on it. I live in Sri lanka and i bought the phone from ebay so it doesnt have warranty. I tried resetting the phone but it didnt work. What can i do to solve this problem? Pls help..

Thank you.

Try a master reset first before doing any flashing.

I dont think an update will solve your problem. Take a look at 'C905 hardware & software issues' ! But it wont make you smile.

Oh amazing!

When i asked O2 to replace my dodgy handest that kept restarting, they sent me one with the exact same problem. The number 3 button acted as the Red phone button, which cancels things or turns the phone off.

I rang them up and sent it back, and they replaced!

Unfortunately youve purchased off ebay, have you asked the seller how old the phone is etc?

sony ericsson will want some proof of purchase when you send it in for repair because they're awkward. They can see how old it is by the back of the phone.

call this number to create a repair 08705 237 237 (UK)
