CX300's seem to be great, decent reviews and are only £18 at the moment from Play! |

I'd stay clear of Ebay for things like headphones as so many fakes are thrown around there, take a look at Amazon or Play. |

what about some ultimate ears?
I got the Ultimate Ears Metro Fi 100 VI - for iphone great little headphones, although i'm not a big fan of the way the microphone has been placed on the headset. It hangs on one of the cables that leads to your ear as opposed to the Sony Walkman headphones which have the mic on the main lead.
I think this problem is sorted with the Ultimate Ears Metro Fi 150 Vi
They are a bit more than the CX300's, but I've read a number of great reviews for ultimate ear products.
Honestly, I wont comment on the sound quality, as I'm no expert they are better than my Sony HPM 82's, they isolate all noise on the road, and on the train/tube, and the wire never gets tangled due to the material it is made with.
Personally, I think headphones similar to the Cx300's, HPM-82 etc the in ear headphones all do a similar job until you start spending quite a large amount or unless you are an audiophile. So if you are being price conscious go for something cheap. If you must have a mic and I'm not sure if the CX300's do an iphone version, the Metro Fi's I'm sure are a good alternative. |

@>500 seems to know what he's talking about when it comes to cans, taking in to consideration from a post from another thread somewhere (cant remember where!)
But all good recommendations from everyone here.
Just remember to be very careful when using eBay AND Amazon Marketplace if you're looking at Sennheiser or Bose, find out the actual RRP of the product and then compare - if the deal sounds too good to be true, it normally is.
I chanced my luck with some Sennheiser CX500's from Amazon Marketplace last year, got em for about £38 inc del which was about £12 cheaper than the RRP back then, some on eBay were going for silly money like £18..so it's easy to tell they're fake. Just make you get assurances from the seller beforehand if you're unsure, and a refund if you're not happy. Easy to tell fakes if they sound tinny and hollow.. Sennheiser's should sound bassy and full.
Good luck!

Yeah...and the CX500's I got from him a year+ ago ain't fake either...and they have a great balanced sound(as long as they're PROPERLY in your ear, otherwise they're awful!), for my rave-hardened lobes anyway......
Would love some Shures(E4C's, or something newer now??), three-figure prices soon stop you though......

Hmmm would be careful of Amazon too - to be honest, it'd be crazy to get Bose 'phones for less than retail price, unless they're from a reputable retailer!
Dont get stung with a nasty fake pair - in regards to the headphones, they're an amazing set, great sound et all!
I know the Bose store in FreePort, BrainTree in Essex sell them at less than retail price
Sony Alpha.
