I don't know what is going on with my K850i :(. It hasn't given me brod for more than 2 weeks but now it started constantly giving me the "failed" error while playing music. After playing about 2-4 songs (mp3's or wma's) in my media player, it just stops plying and says "failed". It started doing it all of a sudden.

I am using a 8GB (class 4- 4mb p/s read write) MicroSDHC card, it is formatted at default block size and works fine in the phone. The phone shows the whole 8GB and hasn't given me any problems with things like copying and pasting and taking photos or videos. So I don't really think it is the card. Oh and I have about 1GB or 300 songs. A total of 2GB is used on the card. I can remember that my old W800i also did it, but not nearly as much.

Does anyone know what can cause this?

Thanx for any replies! :ta:

Ok cool but what mods are you talking, accoustic, camera, layouts, patches or what? I have only modded layout (operator logo), and added some flash menu's. Not messed around with media menu layout or anything like that (yet, HAHA).

As far as i know, media player gives this 'failed' error when your current playing media (songs, album, artist) is moved from its previous position on memory card. Otherwise it wont give you that error.

Ok but I don't move the songs or do anything to the phone while they play. In fact I don't touch the phone, it just stops by itself. I have anyway just formatted my mem card on the pc and put back all the files just to make sure that nothing went wrong while copying the songs to the card. I will also then update the media and see what happens. Another thing is that it is not specific songs, it's just all of them.

Go back to Media-Music-Playlist and launch the music. It happens that currently playing playlist gets kind of corrupted in some special cases. Nothing to worry about.

Ex. if Media playing in background while you run a java application, which in turn interrupts Media Player to play a sound.

Yes, i agree to ceaser that problem occurs only when the location changes. delete the current playlist and copy all the tracks to music->ringtones folder and create a new playlist and try to play the files.
