MP's expenses |

What does everyone think about the current exposed MP's with their greedy life style's? I think its disgusting and cannot stand it. Why are some claiming money for things that dont even relate to their jobs. Surely their 2nd homes for when they are just working should be the cheapest homes not half million pound homes with acres of land with lavish life styles. Its sick. Why do they claim for tv's why does that not come out their normal wages. What has a tv got to do with their job? I used to vote Labour never will again cos they have ruined this country with everything they have done. I was going to vote conservative now not even going to bother anymore. Think i shall raise money with all the people i know go buy a small island become independent from the UK and live a quiet life. I wish lol. |

I dont agree with them getting all these expenses but its all coming out and might chance.
Stephen Fry explains it quite well he doesnt think its not important. The newspaper has dragged it out for too long as well.

I think it is disgusting what some of them have got away with. Claiming for an £8000 television or £18000 for bookcases is just rediculous and just downright greedy. I understand that MP's do need a second home in london as that is where they work for half their time but they should be restricted a lot more on what they are allowed to claim for. Personally I think the government should purchase some small flats in london for the MP's to stay in and that way the MP's can not claim for them and go overboard. |

Yes your right there. One MP had a 3rd home on the coast for her and her lover behind her husbands back. Sick. |

Although i agree what the MP's did was wrong i can understand its quite easy to fall into that trap of temptation and i think if any of us were MP's and were given a right to claim expenses it would be difficult not to do it. In my profession as with many other companies staff can claim travel and hotel expenses and i don't think there is anyone that doesn't exaggerate the expense claim even to extent of getting false receipts i see it happening all the time so the practice is much wider than people think.

Well like many have said already, if they are putting a claim in for expenses they should only do it if they are happy with it being published on the front page of their local paper - that was the test they should use.
At a time when people are struggling to get on the 1st rung of the housing ladder, because of the amount of tax we pay, it makes me sick to think we are funding, not just one, but in some cases their second and third home.
The should be investigated for fraud, HM The Queen should dissolve parliament and we should have a General Election ASAP and get the greedy, money-grabbing buggers out.
How bloody dare they use the public purse to furnish their silver-spoon lifestyles, when people are struggling to feed kids and put food on the table and pay mortgages.
Homes are being repossesed and businesses are going bust everyday, livelyhoods ruined, because of the economic mess they have launched the country into, and now we find out they have been living the Life of Riley at our expense?
They had better not come knocking around my door begging for votes, I'll tell you. I'm gonna keep some rotten eggs ready for them.
£93,000,000 is what just the last year's expenses added up to and we don't even know how long this has been going on for.

I understand they have to have some expenses but only things that are essential for their jobs. Not buying expensive tv's and furnishing their needless expensive 2nd homes with designer furniture and such things. Whats that to do with their jobs. Why is their 2nd homes really expensive ones if its for work it should be cheapest crash pad not lavish mansions. Also yes people in certain jobs need to claim expenses but they have to produce proof not make things up like a false mortgage and also making profit. Makes me sick too that some people have worked all their lives only to be made redundant then told they cant claim job seekers allowance. Then you get this stupid greedy government letting any old Tom Dick or Harry into the country giving them lavish big mansion homes with hundreds of pounds in benefits. Why? How is that saving money or how are they contributing to the system. They never paid into the system like the working class man has who worked all his life then to be told NO we cant help you. These MP's have messed this country up and we need a goverment with some bloody back bone. Sick to death of all of them. I think we should do what the Spanish did with their goverment they marched against them getting them out due to them being part of the Iraq war. They forced their goverment out at a minutes notice. Rant over lol

They should be strung up!
I watched them recently, all line up one by one, to come on TV and make the excuse that it 'was the systems' fault and they all looked like they belonged in a different time and place. Did anyone notice that they all came out with this same excuse?
Most of them couldn't even relate to the public mood, some felt it too difficult to even utter the word 'sorry' for fear the word got stuck in their, greasy, gaping, champagne-lubricated throats - sickening!

I know! What the hell has she got to smile about - she was one of the worst!
I can't wait to cast my vote. I hope, along with a lot of other people, that there is a mass clearout. There isn't one person I have spoke to who doesn't feel that the country has been shamed by this lot.

Is that true? Must have been for someone else then.
This whole thing is a mess. MP's have little or no credibility left and this at a time when the nation already has enough to worry about with the recession.

These f&ckers are gonna get away with this fraud and we won't see a general election. Its gonna be brushed under the carpet, yet again.
