Sound Recorder for the T300 |

I've tried recording sounds with the Sound Recorder function, but the sounds come out *so* quiet! You have to make the initial noise very loud just to hear anything at all. Does anyone else have this problem or is it a problem with my phone in particular?

What's firmware? I've heard people on here talking about it but I don't have a clue! Is there any way to solve the problem? |

I don't have the problem with my T300. The sound is clear and loud.
Firmware is the software your phone runs ons. SE releases new firmware on a regular base. You should take your phone to a SE dealer and ask for a firmware update. It's likely this will fix the problem.
They can also test the phone completely and see if maybe something is wrong with the microphone or something else. |

This may be off the mark, but when you say the recordings are quiet, is that when you have the earpiece to your ear or when listening to it while held in front of you?
If it's quiet when held in front of you, it's because the phone doesn't have a speakerphone function i.e. sound recordings won't be played as loud as ringtones and the like.
Anyway... carry on.
