Hi All

My first post on this forum, though I have visited several times over the last couple of years to find info about my Sony Ericsson phones.

Yesterday I got a new w705 (on the o2 network in the UK) and wondered if anyone can help me with the podcast features. I have two main problems.

So far I have managed to add a new rss feed, which has worked fine and updates correctly to show me new podcasts are available. If I click on the links, I get taken to a little page with the info about the podcast which has the option for me to download the podcast (it's an audio one in mp3 format).

I have tried this (whilst connected to my home internet using the WiFi) and the podcast has downloaded to phone without any bother, nice and quick and plays fine.

However, I had rather expected that it would appear in the Podcasts section of the music section in media but it does not, this has remained empty. The file is listed under the artist (BBC RAdio 1) and I can play it from that section just like any other music track but it owuld be easier for it to be in the podcast folder for ease of deleting old podcasts etc etc.

I wondered if it might be the case that the podcast needs to be downloaded on the computer and transfered to the Podcasts folder on the phone in order to show up in the podcasts folder. I tried this, transfering the downloaded podcast to the phone using media managager (i just dragged and dropped it rather using the podcasts section of the software). But again it doesn't show up in the Podcasts folder within media on the phone, it is however available via artists etc like any other music track.

Can anyone help me with this, how do I get podcasts to appear in the podcasts folder within either the music or video sections of Media?

Secondly, can have the podcasts automatically download to my phone using my WiFi connection when I am at home in the evening?

Any help on either of these would be very very much appreciated.

Sadly that doesn't help at all.

I have now worked out how to get the podcasts to show up in the podcast folders, you need to have them downloaded and transfered by Media Manager.

anyone know what format video podcasts need to be in to work on this phone and also how do I get them working on the phone?
