I'm getting one tomorrow is this a good or bad decision?
I might be buying it from a second hand shop called Cex they are around £195 in there with 12 months guarantee or i can get one from Carphone Warehouse brand new for £319.99 with 12 months guarantee.
I bet i will end up regreting it though and end up having loads of problems with it. |

If you think you'll regret it then don't buy one, simple as.
My model was fine, teeny bit of wobble on the slide but only when pressure was put onto it so I'm not worrying as most phones have that, everything else works 100% fine with no creaking or anything.
I have a week 11 '09 model. |

What's so bad with the ones made in 2008? My friend has two C905s and they're both made in 2008 and they're both excellent phones.
@OP. You could try the 2nd hand phone, and if worst comes to worst, just return it and purchase a brand new one or get another phone instead.

I dont agree with forgetting 2008 versions. Mines the w44 08 and its amazing, slide is lovely and only had the earpiece that they fixed within a week

If you have the cash to spare and you obviously want it, I don't see why not... |

Check your horoscope before buying, if its a good day for you then buy it
Call me superstitious but that's the most reliable way of getting a problem free SE phone these days. |

OOh man. Get the phone. It brilliant. If not for the earpiece problem it would certainly have been the best offering by SE thus far. |

might as well give it a go and if you dont like it you dont like it. Get something else. At least you know it wasnt for you instead of wondering if it was a good phone. |

If I say IF you can wait 2-4 weeks and get the W995 then it would be better, you will get all the specs of the C905 + bigger screen +...
I wanted to pass by a C905 before getting the W995,but I didnt get a good deal on the C905 and now it's too late
The advantage of a 2009 C905 is that it's less risky to have wobbly slider and other hardware problems,a 2008 model can be good and can be not... |

The W995 doesn't have a xenon flash, though.

Reviews are saying that flash is sufficient on W995,also you can use it as Torch

No LED flash is ever sufficient, believe me.

I agree that the LED flash will not be a suitable substitute for the Xenon flash - but I am still rather tempted by the W995.
I think it could very well be a very successful mainstream Walkman. Even though it's high-end for now, and will probably cost a fair bit, it will drop in price and I think will stay on sale for some time - dropping in price then finding itself in the prepay market for some time.
I just hope SE has made it sturdy enough. The networks are already somewhat angry with SE, so this would be the last straw. Probably kept the repairers in business though for the last few months.

I really like the phone even if it has some flaws.
Things that could be improved.
Keypad a little difficult to use when sending txt messages (SMS) because the keys are "flat" even if they have a clicky sounds to them and the 3 upper keys are to close to the upper sliders buttom.
Music in standard earpieces are to low imo even if turned up to max.
Video and pictures menus are a bit slow when scrollling thorugh hundres of pictures or videos. Each time you scroll up or down it has to reload the thumbsnails.
Videos are not in such good quality but atleast they are in stero it sounds like in earpieces.
Batterystandbytime is way way lower than the 360 hours promised and i have bought 2 extra batteries to see if the first batttery was fault.
The auto rotation is a bit slow a lot of the time.
As far as i know it's not possible to rename your photoes.
The red eye reductions for the camera really sucks.
other than that it's the best cameraphone i had but then off course it's my first cameraphone
