i know in good old europe it can even show you tower you are using, but is any gsm company in usa using this feature at all, if so what are message lists

Nope, no provider in the US has this feature enabled.

no we are only like century behind the rest of the world including 3rd world countries when it comes to GSM, but then nokia 5100 is still best selling phone in usa.....

It's funny but I can see which cell site i'm using using Mmode with AT&T, you just got to know how to do it.
