Unfortunatelly my K850 is one more in the group of unusable phones.

The problem start when playing old java game Domino Fever, after clear some countryes and running a game, i choose a piece and in this moment screen turn off, but phone continues functional.

Screen turn on if i just some approx. 30 seconds and later press any button, but turn off if any button are pressed.

The situation change for poor in the next hours and now phone is usual, but screen is ever off.

I search for other Sony Ericsson phone, but after exaustive search perceived which SE do not increase functions how video (SE record ever in QVGA resolution) and overall performance of system generally no is good, however, advantage is battery use for talk-time which is very good.

Without found any model which satisfied me, my choice for buy is Nokia N78, but i am sad because do not more can use modded camdriver how in SE phones. Photo quality of N78 is only regular and i need accustom with this.

Goodbye to all members and very thanks for all modders, specially for Strong, Raiderski, lpachuong, Brazuka, Paparazy and Chengrong.

Sorry all for my poor english.

Last Chance

After some trials of recovery my phone reinstalling firmware (R1FA035) with A2 Uploader, i try the last pass updating way SEUS.

After update SEUS software and procedure recognition of phone, message "New Software Available" as showed in the window, but version for update is older R1EA037.

Somehow or other, i do not have alternative and choose "update" phone.

Sorry for my poor english.

You should totally flash the phone using a2uploader. Don't use the customization replacement method and then use seus, that is for n00b people (no offence to n00bs )

Go here: http://forums.se-nse.net/index.php?showtopic=39748

It is a very well written tutorial (n00b proof, haha). I used this tutorial to flash my K850i (de branded it). All the links and info you need is on the tutorial.

Happy flashing!

Good luck getting your phone working.
Even if you do leave for another manufacturer doesnt mean you have to leave Esato.

Give it a go mate , i mean if its a older update and it will revive it and get the phone working again .
then you can update to a newer firmware version once its working again .

My pleasure :) You should register at Se-Nse, a lot of esato's members are members at Se-Nse too.

I know perfectly all steps for flash using A2 Uploader, but the problem is which the phone do not return to normal after flashing, continues usual with screen off. I also am "old" member of SE-NSE Fórum.

@All

Very thanks for positive words, but my phone do not back to normal, in truth, screen turn on in first initialization (Sony Logo), but turn off before enter in normal use, comparing with desktop computers, we can say which is normal in POST Screen because use only rudimental graphics capability, but when need of advanced graphics support, hardware fail.

Sorry all for my poor english.

Sorry, I understood wrong. Then it is probably a hardware problem. Maybe you should send it in and see what happens.

Good luck

I'm sure that's a hardware problem, just buy a LCD from ebay, they are very cheap, US$25 aprox.

I have had the same problem with my K850i.
